When I was a kid I took the baffle out of my motorcycle because I thought it would make it go faster.

Now I am more mature (old) and I am taking another look at the exhaust system of motorcycles and what they actually do beside directing exhaust gasses and sounding cool. I am starting to realize that designing an exhaust system is kind of an art. Every part of the bike is like a puzzle that fits together and engineers have designed the exhaust system to go with the motor it is attached to.

Waste in Vehicular Transportation.&#160; The vast bulk of energy used in vehicles is wasted! Public transportation entirely aside the private vehicle transportation of people from one location to another could be accomplished using only a few percent of the fuel expenditure generally used to accomplish this in the US. This waste stems primarily from two causes:

How much extraneous and unnecessary weight we choose to shunt about (much too much). 
What we do with the kinetic energy once it a vehicle is put in motion (we simply throw it away).
The second of these can only be solved with a fundamental change in fuels and braking design. The first on the other hand is something solvable to a large extent by the use of lighter more efficient vehicles motor scooters for example.br Every cruising SUV or minivan driven by a single driver involves repeatedly accelerating thousands of pounds of steel and sundry other materials in order to convey its 100-300 lb. driver from point A to point B. The 10 (plus or minus) miles per gallon common to such vehicles is only finally causing consternation in some after gasoline in the US topped 3 a gallon.The Superior Scooter Ratio A scooter on the other hand commonly weighs less than its driver certainly less than its driver and a passenger and gets probably something in excess of 80 miles per gallon&#160; (Reducing fuel usage by nearly a factor of 10 is a very significant savings in natural resources and emissions as well as cost (Besides -- they're cute). Scooter Safetybr Safety is always an issue but scooters have some significant advantages relative to motorcycles.</description>

					  <title>The new Tank Touring 250</title>

I was really excited when I heard that we had a Tank Urban Touring 250 in our warehouse.&#160; So exited that I immediately asked our mechanic to assemble the scooter.&#160; I wanted to be the first one testing this scooter.&#160; The Tank Urban Touring 250 was assembled. Our mechanic made some adjustments, added gas, installed the battery. First glance the scooter looks the same as the 150, same body style but you can also notice the difference in physical engine size.&#160; &#160;&#160;It was basically the same assembly as the 150.&#160; The scooter was completed and it looked nice.</description>

Dervish gets better every day. Dervish is my scooter's name. No I'm not crazy and your gonna have a scooter and name it too.&#160; Just wait. I've enjoyed this scooter more than many of my toys. It's nice to &#34;filler up&#34; for a fin. It's nice blowing Harley's off thru my home town and not making a sound doing it. Burgman is a model of Suzuki scooter that comes in two models a 650cc and a 400.Cost is like 5500 or 7500 depending on size. Doesn't need a lot of add-ons and very capable on any type of road. But if you can find a turny two lane relatively free of other vehicles it will humble you it has the innate ability to run the world by you at a decent speed with more or less non invasive noise or jarring or complexity. Just drive just turn the throttle to your desired emotion and DRIVE! I know I'm cool on this electric blue flickable steed cause the soccer moms put their cell phones down and flirt with me from deep inside the big SUV's they had to have. Guys at the pump give me approval in my type of transportation and ask me where I got it they are beyond the mpg questions they will have one it's just a matter of which one and from what dealer. I've had Dervish for 3 weeks and have enjoyed every moment except for the 600 mi. service that I did yesterday well actually my cousin a very experienced mechanic did and I humored him. This process took several hrs and if it's not done you void your warranty so if you&#226;?&#8482;re thinking about a scooter expect to pay for servicing have a cousin who is or be a skilled wrench cause every brand needs care occasionally. The service end is not that bad kinda like doing for your horsefeedinbrushingshoein etc. After all it's the only thing between my soft flesh and the hard pavement. Go on get you a scooter get one the right size for what your doing as ain't coming down.
